Kakimono Beta Open notes

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 1, 2026

Kakimono is currently local-first. Notes are saved in this browser using IndexedDB, and app preferences are saved in browser storage.

Your notes are not uploaded to a server by the app. If you connect WaniKani, your API token and cached kanji progress are stored locally in this browser.

Exports and backups are created only when you request them. You control where those downloaded files are stored.

Future sync features may require an account and a separate privacy update. Local note editing will remain available without an account.
